Free sample polishing test
A representative sample test helps compare a finishing direction against the actual workpiece, incoming condition and accepted result. Send the part details first so the test can answer a defined process question.
[sp_sample_policy]What to send with the inquiry
- Material, dimensions, approximate weight and normal batch quantity
- Whole-part photos and close-ups of burrs, marks, residue or dull areas
- A drawing or marked photograph showing holes, threads, fits, sealing faces and cosmetic surfaces
- The target finish, cleaning requirement and downstream coating or assembly step
- The feature that must remain protected and the inspection method you expect to use
How the sample review works
The team first checks whether a vibratory, barrel, centrifugal, magnetic, grinding or dry-finishing direction fits the geometry. The sample route is then planned around media access, part contact, loading, cycle control, separation and cleaning. Where the route is uncertain, the test should change one major variable at a time and keep the inspection conditions consistent.
What the returned sample can show
The result is evidence for the submitted part family and the agreed inspection method. It can help reveal access, nesting, residue, edge change and visible surface differences. It does not guarantee the same result for another material, geometry, batch pattern or production setting. Record the inoming condition and compare the returned parts against the drawing, visual reference or dimensional requirement you provided.
Before sending parts
Confirm the part quantity, packaging, contact details and shipping arrangement with the finishing team. Mark sensitive features and include any handling or cleanliness restrictions. The clearer the acceptance notes are, the more useful the sample discussion will be.
