Rough smoothing, intermediate smoothing and fine polishing have different purposes. The rough stage tracks profile change, heat, collisions and thin areas; the intermediate stage checks remaining texture, contact and contamination. The fine stage focuses on haze, residues, gloss variation, fine scratches and temperature. Each selected stage retains its own release criterion. Selecting all three displays the inspection plan; it does not establish that the sample has passed or that the next stage should start.

Source monitoring and release criteria; no cycle recipe. Keep every selected requirement with the part and the actual trial record. Selecting a row does not show that its acceptance condition has been met.
For each trial stage, record the incoming condition, actual media and paste, loading, inspection intervals and observed changes. Check dimensional fit and protected detail along with cosmetic appearance. Establish the inspection lighting and accepted reference before comparing samples. The source supplies qualitative release criteria, but no temperature ceiling, timing recipe, quantitative gloss specification or allowable material removal. Those requirements must be defined for the reviewed frame design.
Purpose: Reduce light machining marks and sharp unfinished edges
What to Monitor: Profile change, heat, collisions, thin areas, and deep marks that remain
Release Criterion: Surface is even enough for the next stage without losing design details
Purpose: Refine the rough-stage texture and improve uniformity
What to Monitor: Residual lines, media access, uneven contact, and contamination
Release Criterion: No obvious rough-stage marks under the agreed inspection light
Purpose: Develop clarity, smooth touch, and a consistent cosmetic finish
What to Monitor: Haze, residue, gloss variation, fine scratches, and temperature
Release Criterion: Approved appearance, clean recesses, correct fit, and no new damage
