Record how many inspected parts still contain media after the planned separation step, then calculate the observed affected-part rate and the measured clearance burden. The result describes your inspection group and does not establish that another media size or machine setting will solve lodging.
Enter your measured values, then calculate.
Define whether the inspection occurs after unloading, screening, rinsing or the complete separation route. Use that same point for repeated observations. Count each part that contains any retained media once, even if the part holds several pieces. Record the number of retained pieces separately if it is useful; it is not the numerator of this affected-part rate.
The affected-part percentage is the retained-part count divided by the inspected count, multiplied by 100. The entered clearance time is converted to seconds and divided by all inspected parts. A second figure divides it by the affected parts only. If no affected parts were recorded, the second figure is left undefined rather than assigning a fictitious removal time.
Jintaijin’s media-access guidance treats opening geometry, media orientation, wear and reliable removal as part of a trial. Record the hole, slot or recess and media profile associated with retention. A rate alone does not establish which feature trapped the media or whether every critical passage has been inspected.
Enter measured observations and retain the inspection method. This calculator deliberately has no universal pass percentage. The buyer must decide what retained-media condition is acceptable for the part and how that condition will be verified. For a critical internal feature, review the inspection coverage as well as the count.
Send the relevant part drawing, critical openings, media identity and wear state, separation sequence, inspected count, affected count and total recorded clearance time. Keep the incoming material condition and finishing target with the record so that a lower retention rate is not considered independently of the required finish.
